BrianMany decades ago I decided to dedicate some blog posts to the lovely dancing of that one girl called Aikawa Kozue, the humble teenager who seems to do a better job in dancing to songs than the original performers. She perfected Dakishimete² and flawlessy danced to Risonante Blue.
So what happened to this girl? Is she still alive? Has she stopped dancing? I heard she married Tsunku! Well let me begin to say that I can imagine that Kozue is doing better than ever. Kozue has been approached by a corporation who’s an expert in exploiting dancing Japanese girls called Heartfull Entertainment. However HE didn’t just approach just Kozue; they also approached 2 other girls who were known in the internets for their awesome dancing skills. Sadly enough they’re just not as awesome as Kozue.
So you have 3 girls who are more than fine at dancing and and a shady company who is keen on making money. HE did what any fool in Japan would do and pirated a copy of Auto-tune and Fruityloops and began making songs for the freshly formed group that would perform under the name of Danceroid!
Yay we are danceroid! o/
They have already performed at venues like Comiket and are most likely to stay alive untill the wotaku bubble bursts or untill the girls become too old to perv over. In the mean time you can expect them to keep on releasing DVD’s, like their first DVD called「DANCEROID」. Featuring some songs of themselves, and some songs that sound a lot like songs i’ve heard before. Their DVD includes songs like LOL – Lots of Laugh (No joke), Power of Infinity and Gravity=Reality. Yes, it does seem as if the producer never finished his physics degree.

September 5th, 2009 BrianA few months ago I blogged about the rise of NicoNico douga and Youtube star Aikawa Kozue (愛川こずえ). Besides the ever-so-genki dancing, another item was also present in her videos. A mask to hide her face from the internet, and most probably to keep away stalkersan and stalkerchan alike. However, In her latest 2 videos she has decided to dump the mask and get a haircut. When she released her first mask-less video (Now officially recognized as nm1 (no mask +1)), Naichau Kamo, people started speculating whether this was the Aikawa Kozue we knew from previous videos or perhaps one of her friends who have been featured in her videos countless of times. Adding more fire to the fuel was the fact that she dropped the cute pony tail and went for a more adult look with her hair, much like Takahashi Ai who had the same hairstyle in one of her photobooks around 2007/2008.
However, her 2nd video (nm2) where she is dancing to Yajima Maimi’ Natsu Doki Lipstick (夏DOKIリップスティック) has been recorded inside her house. Although there always a few skeptic bitches in the cruel world we call the Internet who still refuse to believe this is Kozue, I believe that Aikawa Kozuechan has finally dropped her mask, and made the Internet a bit prettier by dancing without previously mentioned object covering her pretty face.

May 11th, 2009 BrianA few weeks ago I ran into a youtube user that goes by the name of xxxayu3. She dances to well known J-pop tunes. Berryz, Morning Musume, C-ute. She danced to it. Big time. Alone, or with her friends or cat. The way fate deals the cards is peculiar, as CK decided to create a ‘dance off‘ between xxxayu3 and Cuca around the same time I learned about Xxxayu3. Both very enthusiastic dancers, but Cuca bites xxxayu3 dust when it comes down to everything. Sure Cuca might be ‘cute’ and all. But xxxayu3 beats her hands down.
I’d even go as far to say that I’m a fan of her videos. Almost daily I eagerly F5 her Nico Nico Douga list to see if she posted any new videos. The dancing is just beyond genki, and every video feature little aberrations that makes it even more interesting to watch. Of course, as a fan you want information. And information I found. Together with a good friend we consulted the all-mighty Internets and discovered some pretty fun facts about her, that every Kozue fan will appreciate.
